Despite coming from a rather rational background, I strongly
believe in science-art
contamination as great mutual source of ideas and inspiration. As a result, I am always
eager to work with artists of any sort and kind to try breaking the boundary between
scientific discoveries and artistic creations.
In 2018 I collaborated with Leonie
Bradley who created
‘Wavefront’ a visual installation for Visions of Science at The Edge, University of Bath.
Each printed “pixel” represents a pigment cell spreading and reproducing. It was created using a hand-executed, on-lattice, position jump model with a tetrahedral die as a random number generator. In total, it took 1,723 steps to make Wavefront.
In 2019 I won the 1st Prize of the TakeAIM Award with my entry "A Collective Human Challenge ”. The TakeAIM is a national competition organised by the Smith Institute for doctoral researchers in mathematics to showcase the impact of their projects to the general public and industrial partners.
